Guests are visiting a food stall selling fruit juices at Asiana Food Town.
Asiana Food
Town, an underground food market at the September 23 Park in city
downtown, could be an ideal gathering place for those wishing to find a
fresh and unique dining venue and enjoy authentic Vietnamese dishes of
different regions and Asian cuisine.
Located
in a 5,000-square-meter basement at Zone B of September 23 Park in District 1,
adjacent to the backpacker area surrounded by Pham Ngu Lao - Bui Vien - De Tham
streets, the food court draws huge attention from local youths and foreign
tourists during the weekend.
Covering
1,500 square meters, the food market mirrors the culinary and cultural space of
old Asian streets with more than 300 seats and nearly 100 street food stands of
Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and India.
Upon
arrival at the food court for the first time, guests may be impressed by a huge
number of restaurants selling dishes in both Vietnamese and Asian cuisine. The
venue has its eye-catching and deluxe interior décor, giving diners feelings of
something old and nostalgic with sparkling yellow lights from splendid
chandeliers, red lanterns, and wooden long tables.

Those
who love the taste of delicious dishes of different regions of Vietnam can
visit some eateries such as hu tieu suon
My Tho (noodle soup with pork), bun
bo Hue (Hue-style beef noodles), bun
mam Minh Nhat (noodles with broth made of fermented fish), and bo la lot Co Ba (beef wrapped with betel
leaf).
A
highlight of the food market is the presence of many restaurants selling
authentic Asian foods such as Eat Thai with Thai-style hotpots and desserts,
Taj Mahal serving Indian curry treat, and Nori Express with Japanese popular
dishes such as Sushi. Sashimi, and Poki.
“We
always come to the food court on weekends to savor sweet soups at Che Viet eatery with reasonable prices
apart from buying fashion items at Taka Plaza in the basement”, a young couple
said.
