Cuisine Artisan Anh Thi Hoang Ho
Mrs Anh Hoang Thi Ho was
born into a Hue family, graduated from the nuclear physics faculty at Da Lat
University, but came to the food industry by accident, or destiny. She
travelled extensively trying various cuisines and has had opportunities to
study and research food, her passion since childhood. She has made a
significant contribution to the recovery of some traditional dishes from the
ancient capital of Hue.
Although receiving a
traditional education the expert judges of Golden Spoon always keep an open
mind. She always learned and updated her knowledge of the subject as well as
new cooking methods. She thinks that because there are many ingredients that
existed before and couldn’t be found, people are now accepting new ingredients
for cooking. Nowadays this is something that we should do, as long as those
dishes still retain the same taste and standards, then it will be fine.
She is
known as one of ambassadors of Vietnam cuisine at international conferences or
workshops; introducing Vietnamese cuisine in general and Hue Royal cuisine in
particular to other countries in the world. She used to attend workshops with
international food experts at Woosong University (Korea) or with Professor Khe
Van Tran, to introduce Vietnamese cuisine at Muenich (Germany). She also introduced
cultural products from Hue at a New Year's Eve party in Nantes (France).
