As reported by the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, cancer rate in Asian countries will increase 60% by 2020!
This figure is worrying
because it means cancer will be second only to diabetes by that time. The
reason is because:
Life expectancy of Asian people is getting longer, which leaves more time for
people to live with disease.
More and more people choose a lifestyle that goes against the rules of nature,
such as too little sleep, eating too fast or sitting too long without moving.
This causes the body to weaken over time.
Over consumption of processed food instead of being loyal to traditionally
prepared cuisine. This increase happens because there is not enough time in
life to go home and eat without stress.
It’s quite the paradox to
consider how to improve life if in doing so the rate of cancer multiplies. But
if we listen carefully to the explanation we will see that it is indeed not
wrong. On the one hand, Asian residents live longer thanks to the improvement
of living conditions progressed by a developing economy, and because health
services are dramatically improved.
But on the other hand, the proportion of cancer isn’t decreased because the
body has more time to accumulate toxic carcinogens within the environment from
heavy pollution, UV radiation, gasoline fumes, cigarette smoke, household and
agricultural chemicals, and especially worth mentioning is the top five main
carcinogens found in food additives!
While hard to believe,
you can read shocking news about farming and food processing within Vietnam.
Hormones are used in the cultivation of vegetables that cause them to grow and
ripen overnight. Use in the pork industry is to make the meat more
eye-catching, as they inject the pigs with antibiotics or confectionary
chemicals.
If the toxic levels of
carcinogens found in food is a thousand times higher than the permitted level,
and the industry continues to operate without quality control, then sooner or
later cancer will be just the beginning of other such chronic conditions.
We
all have cancerous cells within our bodies. But it doesn’t mean that everyone
is sick or has the same disease. Cancer just can be formed when malignant cells
mutate. If there is a way to control the number of malignant cells so that it
always remained as a minority number then cancer won’t be able to develop so
cancer will become the matter of the “neighbor”.
By contrast, if we attack
healthy cells within the body by toxic substances in food every day it
dramatically increases the chances of cancer one day. The World Health
Organization isn’t exaggerating when they assert that 70% of disease is closely
associated with nutrition!
Fortunately, more than
2/3 of cancer-fighting foods approved by FDA are fruits, spices and vegetables;
all of which are available year-round in our country. These foods are already
much a part of traditional folk cuisine with their unique taste and flavors.
But, if every time we eat we must also take medicine to counteract the heavy
metals and chemicals contained within this food, then it is all for naught. We
as a country must cleanse our pool within the food industry so there is no need
to look outside for healthy ingredients. Because, go East or go West, home is
always best.
