Why did the 2015 Golden Spoon reduce the number of cluster where the contest taken place?
The Golden Spoon contest operates on a big
scale, dedicated to professional chefs coming from over the country. Criteria
of the contest have addressed the objectives and meaning of the contest. The
organizing committee also considered a plan to facilitate candidates the best
condition when they attend the contest based on lessons learnt from the contest
in the last two years. The organizers realized that candidates have difficulties
in transportation as well as time management, and the most important issue is
that chefs didn’t have many chances to exchange experience with one another.
Additionally, the score
also was restructured to create an interaction among regional cuisines so that
chefs can use their advantages and have opportunities to show their skills and
use spices from these regions. Moreover this is a big contest so the organizers
need to think of a location where the space is sufficient for candidates to create
their dishes comfortably. Then candidates can be as creative as possible to
have beautiful and qualified dishes.
