According to the organizer’s official announcement, the Golden Spoon Awards is delayed its comeback for another year.
On this September 21st, Vietnam Tourism Association had cooperated with Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association to launch Vietnam Culinary Conservation, Research & Development Center (CRDC).
A new culinary conservation centre was opened in Ho Chi Minh City as part of the Vietnam Tourism Association’s efforts to promote sustainable tourism.
That’s what Mr. Chiem Thanh Long – Food expert and professional judge of The Golden Spoon contest – said at the launch of the Center for Research, Conservation and Development of Vietnamese Cuisine (CRDC).

“The Golden Spoon Contest contributes to Vietnamese cuisine development by gradually improving its presentation (as commented by culinary experts of the World Association of Chefs) as well as promoting its delicacies and nutritional values in order to improve its reputation”.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, it is forecast that by 2015, the demand for labor in the tourism industry will be about 620,000 people, of which 8% will be in the catering industry.
